Job Summary:
Forklift Drivers with experience and a focus on safety are needed to join our team in a number of locations across Canada.
You will be in charge of driving forklifts to move, load, and unload products inside our warehouse or distribution center as a forklift driver.
Your knowledge and attention to safety will help ensure the timely and precise movement of goods by enhancing the effectiveness and smoothness of operations.
Forklift Drivers Responsibilities
- Use forklifts and other associated equipment safely and effectively while adhering to all safety regulations and guidelines.
- Use forklifts to load and unload cargo from trucks or other transportation vehicles.
- Move items to specific storage locations inside the warehouse or distribution center.
- To maximize storage space, stack and arrange goods or materials on pallets or on racks.
- Perform pre-operational inspections of forklifts to make sure all controls and safety precautions are working properly.
- Keep thorough records of all material movements, including amounts, locations, and other pertinent data.
- Work together with the warehouse staff to guarantee the prompt and accurate fulfillment of orders.
- Assist with inventory control tasks including stock rotation and cycle counts.
- Adhere to the right handling techniques for dangerous materials, if necessary.
- Maintain work environments in a neat and orderly manner while upholding housekeeping standards.
- Immediately notify supervisors of any safety risks, mishaps, or equipment issues.
Requirements before applying for the Forklift Drivers
- Forklift operator certification or a valid license are requirements.
- Demonstrated forklift driving experience, ideally in a warehouse or distribution environment.
- Extensive understanding of safe handling procedures and forklift operation.
- Knowledge of the many kinds of forklifts and how they work.
- Knowledge of inventory management and warehouse operations.
- The capacity to securely load and unload materials while using forklifts and navigating confined spaces.
- A keen eye for detail and the capacity to capture data precisely.
- In good physical condition and able to handle the strenuous physical requirements of the job, such as lifting and carrying big loads.
- A strong ability to collaborate with others in a team atmosphere.
- The ability to work all required shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- A working knowledge of and aptitude for following health and safety rules.
