About the role

Registered nurses are responsible for providing a centralized person; communicated to nurses who promote defined health outcomes. Registered nurses will plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care in collaboration with individuals and multidisciplinary health care teams. SDN’s service requirement is the redeployment of staff to other SLHD centers to manage the workload and support the care model.

We are looking for someone…

Register a nurse now with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Council (AHPRA).
Have a current NSW Driver’s License (P2 License accepted).
Demonstrated computer literacy and understanding of relevant health information systems.

About working for SLHD

This is category “A”. To work at NSW Health, you must provide evidence of vaccination to comply with the NSW Health Professional Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specialist Infectious Diseases Policy (PD2022_030).

All NSW health workers are required to complete an initial course of COVID-19 vaccination approved or recognized by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA). In addition, category A must receive a booster dose three months after completing the initial course of the COVID-19 vaccine. New applicants must complete a pre-commencement vaccination course with NSW Health or provide a validated medical contraindication certificate (IM011 Immunization Medical Exemption form) confirming that the employee cannot have a current NSW-related COVID-19 vaccination. Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunization Register (AIR) Immunization History Statement or the AIR COVID-19 digital certificate. A booster dose is recommended for all healthcare workers who have completed the initial course of the COVID-19 vaccine.
