Airport baggage handlers are responsible for loading, unloading or transporting passengers’ baggage safely and quickly at the airport.

Duties and responsibilities of airport baggage handlers
An airport baggage handler job description should include several functions and roles:
Always be on the lookout for suspicious looking items and notify security or the police immediately.
Control the movement of passenger luggage from the check-in desk.
Checks and collects items against the flight list so they can be loaded onto the correct aircraft.
Carry luggage to the appropriate plane in a truck – weather protection if necessary.
Proper loading and storage of luggage in the hold of the plane.
Take off clothes as soon as possible after take off.
