Required Qualifications:

Completion of an accredited medical laboratory assistant program or equivalent. Equivalency is defined as completion of the Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) and Combined Laboratory Technician and X-ray Technology (CLXT) programs in Canada; completion of a medical laboratory technologist/technologist program outside of Canada; and MLT and CLXT students completed the phlebotomy training/rotation. Applicants with a high school diploma may be considered.

If hired, you will be required to complete free field phlebotomy training offered by APL, as well as formal training courses offered by SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology) or NAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology).
