As a commissary staff member at our resort, your core duties will center around providing high quality service to our guests. You will work as part of a team to ensure that the dining areas and facilities are clean, well-stocked, and running efficiently at all times.
Specifically, in this role you will:
- Greet guests, take food and drink orders, serve meals and clear tables in a timely manner.
- Prepare and arrange table settings before guests are seated, including cutlery, glassware, napkins, condiments, etc.
- Maintain a polite, friendly and professional manner with all guests at all times. Provide recommendations and address any concerns or complaints promptly and courteously.
- Assist in cleaning the dining areas, kitchen and storage areas. This includes sweeping, mopping floors, emptying trash receptacles, wiping down tables and chairs, etc.
- Ensure beverage stations, buffets and service areas are kept clean, well-stocked and presentable. Refill items as needed.
- Follow all food safety procedures and protocols. Adhere to hygiene and uniform standards set by the resort at all times.
- Other general cleaning and preparation tasks as assigned to assist in the smooth running of the commissary and dining facilities.
To excel in this role, you must have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a waiter or waitress, strong communication and customer service skills, and the ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
