If you’ve been thinking and asking questions about how easy it is to get a student visa in Australia, Today is your lucky day, because today, we’re discussing 5 easy steps to getting an Australian visa
If you’re planning on studying abroad in Australia, getting an Australian student visa can be the first step towards your exciting new life abroad! However, the process isn’t always simple; you’ll need to figure out which student visa you need and fill out the application form with all of the correct information to prove that you meet the criteria. Follow these five easy steps to help guide you through the process of getting an Australian student visa so that your relocation experience can be both smooth and successful!
Step 1 – Gather your documents
The first step is to gather your documents. Have you got evidence of your English language skills? A passport that’s valid for at least six months after you intend to leave Australia? If you’re going on a working holiday, have you got a job lined up or proof of funds? It may sound obvious, but all these things will be necessary for your visa application.
Also think about how long you’ll need to stay – people can get visas from 3 months up to 5 years. Step 2 – Find out if you qualify: To apply for a student visa, you must meet certain requirements. You must be outside Australia when you apply and show that: You are enrolled in an approved course; You have enough money to support yourself during your time in Australia; and Your health insurance covers any medical treatment while in Australia.
Depending on which visa type you apply for, there are other criteria too (for example, some visas require applicants to meet certain character requirements). Make sure you check with your visa provider what they are before applying. Step 3 – Apply online: Once you’ve gathered everything together, it’s time to apply! In most cases, applying online is quick and easy.
There are several visa providers who offer help through their websites including Visa Central, VFS Global and Student Visas Australia. Make sure you choose one that works with your country/region as each provider has different services available depending on where they operate.
Check with them whether they provide services in your country/region before choosing one over another. Note: Some visa providers charge a fee for their services but others don’t so make sure you check what’s included before choosing one over another!
Step 2 – Apply for a student visa
It’s not difficult to get a student visa. All you need is proof of enrollment in a course, and your passport will be ready for pick-up at Australia Post within one week. All you have to do then is confirm your flight with Qantas or another airline by showing them your eVisa details online and wait for your boarding pass. Don’t forget to print it out! So easy, right? Well, almost. The most important thing about applying for a visa is doing it early.
You can apply up to 12 months before your trip begins. This gives you plenty of time to make sure everything goes smoothly and that there are no delays when you arrive in Australia. To avoid any issues, always apply well ahead of time – even if that means paying extra money on top of your tuition fees.
If you don’t want to spend more than necessary, try applying during January or July. These are Australia’s two low season periods, so you’re likely to pay less for flights and accommodation. And don’t worry – if something happens (like illness) and you can’t go on your trip after all, many airlines offer a full refund! Just check their terms and conditions first.
Step 3 – When you are approved, apply for other documents you may need
If you have been approved for a student visa, you will receive a letter from us advising you of your visa grant. The letter will include instructions on how to apply for other documents that may be required. Step 4 – Book your flight: Once you have received confirmation of your visa approval and any additional documents you need, book your flight to Australia.
Your visa allows you to travel to Australia and enter Australia at any time within its validity period. You can travel with or without luggage but if you arrive without any luggage, it is important that you register with Immigration before leaving Australia.
It is also important to remember not to leave Australia until your visa has expired. This means if you are granted a visa valid for 12 months, it is important that you do not leave Australia until 12 months after visa grant date. Step 5 – Arriving in Australia: When entering Australia as a student, make sure all of your travel documents are valid and up-to-date.
You must carry these documents with you at all times while in Australia – they are proof of your legal status in Australia. You should also keep copies of these documents in case they get lost or stolen while travelling outside Australia.
Step 4 – Prepare for your trip to Australia
If you want to go on a study trip or holiday, there are certain things you need before you travel. For example, it is compulsory for every international visitor over 18 years of age who plans to stay in Australia for more than one year, or whose intended residence will extend beyond six months (i.e. tourist visas) must be covered by health insurance.
You can get comprehensive travel insurance from a range of sources. Most travel agents and many airlines provide cover at point of purchase. Some credit cards also offer travel insurance as an additional benefit.
Travel agents may also be able to advise about cover offered through your bank or other financial institution and specialist providers such as worldwide multi-trip policies which allow you to purchase annual coverage that covers multiple trips within 12 months.
In addition, if you plan to work while visiting Australia, make sure your visa allows you to do so.
Step 5 – Arriving in Australia
You can apply for a visa from outside Australia or you can arrive in Australia on a temporary visa (for example, a Tourist Visa) and then apply for another type of visa.
If you travel to Australia with plans of living and working here it is recommended that you plan your trip ahead, starting with obtaining your student visa.
You should begin planning as soon as possible because it will take several months for you application to be processed.
The first step is to check if you are eligible for a visa under Australia’s immigration laws. There are many different types of visas available and depending on what you intend to do while in Australia, your options may vary.
