Knowledge, Expertise and Skills:

  • Information and understanding of the history of First Nation communities in Canada and the present health and social points together with cultural awareness
  • Excellent written and interpersonal communication abilities and the power to work successfully with a wide range of individuals and circumstances
  • Capacity to show, facilitate studying, and assist adoption of health programs and practices
  • Self-directed with demonstrated organizational skills

Experience and Education Necessities:

  • Member in good standing of the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC)
  • Bachelor of Nursing diploma from a Canadian College or equal combination of training and experience
  • 1+ year expertise working in a similar place in a rural / remote setting and with First Nation communities considered an asset
  • Experience working with palliative or elders care thought-about an asset
  • Willing to gain further certification, schooling and skills as required
  • BCCDC Immunization Certification (or willingness to obtain)

Ability to efficiently and periodically endure an appropriate criminal records review and police report check is required.
