In addition to clinical psychotherapy and counseling, the agency offers proprietary professional reports that are sometimes utilized as supporting documents for various legal processes and applications that refugees and immigrants pursue in Canada and/or to access more comprehensive assistance in healthcare.

According to Nazim Baghirov, IG Vital Health’s director who is an immigrant himself, “Our entire staff, including the founders, is comprised of immigrants. We recognize the unique challenges that immigrants and refugees face in the process of migrating and in starting and building a new life in Canada.”

“We wanted our services to be of the highest quality and effectiveness that we could establish.

We recognized many issues with mental health services offered to immigrants and refugees, for instance, such us the access to services, timeliness of those services, the quality of assistance, the cost and even misinformation, misguidance, and professional malpractices,” says Baghirov.

Services are offered seven days a week, by appointment in a range of languages, besides English. Refugees and recent migrants should be able to check and confirm eligibility for the free program by reaching out the agency.

Once confirmed, the only requirement is for individuals to acquire a referral to psychotherapy from any walk-in clinic or family physician (MD or Nurse Practitioner) with a suggested diagnosis.
